Jeff the Turtle and Outrigger the Bird

So today on my way home from the gym I noticed a little innocent turtle crossing the road and I just had to rescue it. I just knew someone was gonig to hit it and smoosh it. (although probably someone would roll over it and it would be fine because that’s why he has a shell) Anyway I thought the boys would like it. Well I was a little wrong! They didn’t accept the turtle like I thought they would. Actually they screamed and yelled and wanted him to go away. They actually didn’t mind him as long as he was not crawling towards them. Jordan named it Jeff but after about 10 minutes the boys accompanied me to the little lake it was crawling towards when I rescued him and helped me set him free.
Since we are on the subject of us rescuing pets I’ll also have to tell you a little story about our pet “outrigger” we rescued while on our mission trip. Rachel and I were walking down the road right near the church where we were staying and saw a wounded bird on the walk way. We picked it up, put it in a box and the kids helped feed it. After Roby caught wind of what we did he made us take the disease ridden animal and release it back into the wild. Awwww we tried but I think he got eaten by a vulchar. Anyway it was such a great experience helping the wild. haha NOT!
He’s baaaaaack

James went riding around the neighborhood to see if he could find Gibson and he saw a sign that said found dog knock on the door. Well it was Gibson so our dog is back safe and sound. Too bad for me because I was kinda happy that I didn’t have to worry about finding dog care for him while we are at children’s camp and west virginia. Well hey Jordan will be happy when he wakes up from his nap because he really did miss him.
He’s gone

So tonight I was driving home from picking up Abi halfway from my mom and James called me. He said guess what hon? Gibson ran away and I can’t find him. More than anything I think Jordan is going to miss him because he has been better lately. I thought the neighbor’s yard was fenced in but I guess I was wrong. Anyway I’m sure someone else gave him a new home because he is really cute. Awww poor Gibson!

I’m sure you’re thinking what in the polooza is a buppit? Well to a 3 year old, it’s a rabbit! I’m sure the next thing you’re thinking is Anna why, when you have 2 toddlers yourself do you need something else to chase around your house that only stays clean about 10 minutes out of a day? Anyway for some strange reason I didn’t have any ounce of reason yesterday and we decided to get Jordan and Asher a buppit as Jordan calls him/her. That comes to our next thing about the buppit, I don’t know if it’s a she or he but I guess it doesn’t matter right? haha! Today someone asked Jordan in his sunday school class what his buppit’s name was and he said well hmm… it’s name is rabbit. Now that is logical thinking right? Awwww my child is a genious. Well my other genious child thinks it’s his business to poke the poor rabbit in the eye as many times as possible without people seeing him. (keep the poor buppit in your daily prayers) As for the name we still don’t have one. It’s been shrek, donkey, mcqueen, Esther, and many others so who knows. Well the ending of this long, obnoxious blog is to say that if you see a “FREE RABBIT” listing on craigslist please give our buppit a healthy, happy home ok? Also you can view live footage of the first few minutes with buppit on the link under this blog on the Desuyoboiz youtube link. Enjoy
