PT cruiser in Jordan’s words

Recently my mom has very generously given us one of her cars that is not being used anymore. It is a silver PT cruiser. The kids have been very excited because they have been taking turns and James was letting them ride around the neighborhood in it until we could figure out all the things that needed to be fixed and actually take it out for a joy ride. So the other day it was Jordan’s turn and he said “Daddy where are you going?” James responded by saying well I’m going to the store wanna come? Jordan said “Yeah and are we taking the piece of cruiser? haha James laughed, told me the story and wanted me to blog about it so there it is.

Bug Rash

So today we were at the beach at a graduation party for most of the day. The kids had so much fun digging in the sand and loved being with all of their cousins. We also ate and ate all day till we couldn’t eat anymore. It was so much fun. But with all of the food comes bugs which snacked on the boys all day long. Hey if I was a bug I would love to eat up their sweet, chunky cheeks. Anyway when we got home everyone was so tired and napped for about 2 hours. When Jordan woke up he informed me that he had a bug rash. Since I have never heard of a bug rash I asked Jordan to explain what exactly that was. He proceeded to tell me that a bug rash is when a bug bites you in your butt crack. I laughed and laughed then heard Jordan say “Asher scratch it right here at my butt.” I got up and Asher was walking to Jordan with his toothbrush about to scratch Jordan’s behind. It was one of those moments that makes motherhood so much fun. For those germ concious people Asher never actually got to the part of using the toothbrush in an alternative way. Anyway that’s my bug rash story.

Cute Jordan sayings

A couple of days ago Jordan and Asher had a collision with their scooter and little motorcycle. Jordan ran over to me working on some paperwork and said “mommy, mommy me and Asher hurt we-selves.” hehe it was so cute.

Yesterday James and I had folded all of our clothes and went through them to get them ready to be packed and Jordan jumped up and noticed all the folded laundry and said “Mom and Dad I’m so proud of you for doing all the laundry, good job!”

Jordan had overheard me talking to James and asking him if I should ask Bethany to babysit the kids so we could go to our interview on Tuesday. Jordan said “Mom it’s not babysit it’s boy-sit, i’m not a baby ok”?

Jordan also overheard me saying that I was really tired lastnight and was so ready to go. He said “Mom I’ve got a great idea. How bout we move tonight yeah that’s a good idea.” Man I wish things were that easy.

Ok that’s all I can remember for now. I like to remember these things so I can look back on it later and laugh.

Keeping an eagle eye

Finally it was the day that I was going to tackle cleaning the boys toys out and donating a bunch to goodwill so they could play in the playroom. It had gotten so bad because all of the toys had accumulated and it was so unorganized they didn’t even know what they had to play with. I figured I would get up early before the kids so they couldn’t stop me from throwing anything out. I actually thought I was so clever because I used black bags so they couldn’t see what was leaving. (I know I’m sneaky) Well Jordan heard all the commotion and woke up and questioned to me as why I was putting some of his toys in this big black bag. I told him we were giving them to the less fortunate kids. Well I had tossed this light up jump rope that the kids hadn’t touched in ages. When I put something else in the bag it caused the lights to go off in the bag and Jordan flipped out. He said mommy no that’s my favoritist toy and you can’t throw it away please, please mom. So of course I dug it out and thought everything would be fine. He left for just a minute then came back with his little chair from the living room and sat down. When I asked him what he was doing he stated: Mom I have to keep an eagle eye on you so you won’t throw anything else away that I love!!!!! hahah I grabbed him and just started laughing because where do kids come up with this stuff? Where did he hear an eagle eye? Anyway it was so hilarious. After that we finished and the boys played trains and lincoln logs and cooked in their kitchen all day. It was so nice that everything was organized. (at least for the moment)
