ICE and Christmas Slideshow

Trip Home

This past weekend we headed to Jacksonville for a much needed weekend break. Especially since one of the girls has 2 days out of school suspension starting tomorrow. AHHHH should I pull my hair out? Anyway I have tons to do to get ready for Christmas but I’m trying to enjoy the season even if it gets tough sometimes. If you think about it anytime this week or next lift up a prayer for us. It was so nice to go home though and go to Rachel’s shower and visit with family and friends. We also went to Heather’s for our traditional ornament hanging which was super fun too. On the way home from Heather’s Jordan was begging James to ride in the back with him. When I asked if I could sit by him because James was driving Jordan gave me a very honest response. He said mommy I don’t think that would work cause I don’t think your butt will fit. Wow aren’t kids so honest? Anyway I hope you’re enjoying your Christmas Holidsay. It only comes around once a year so don’t let it pass you by!!

Here comes santa clause, here comes santa clause

Every year Santa comes and visits the campus escorted by the police or a firetruck. This year he came in a very nice car and lit up our campus christmas tree. Jordan and Asher were wide eyed and Asher got off my lap and ran and cut in front of about 30 kids and tapped on Santa’s lap until he picked him and and then got some candy. He also got one for Jordan since he did not want to sit on his lap. Then Santa come to our home and Asher ran over and Santa picked him up and he was checking out his beard and half pulled it off. Here are some pictures so you can fully enjoy how the Santa interaction went.

Christmas Decor and Jordan’s little tacky blue Christmas Tree

I guess since the kids are getting a little older they loved helping decorate the tree and all the outdoor lights we put up all around the house. Also Jordan has had his eye on this little tacky blue Christmas tree in big lots for quite some time. So finally his wish has been granted and he was allowed to decorate it as tacky as he wanted. (he and Asher even picked out all the decoration to go on the tree as well. They were super proud of themselves.) Check out the pictures below to see how all our our decorations turned out!!

The Christmas Guy

Ever since last year Jordan has always called Santa “the christmas guy.” So the other day we were shopping in the Oviedo mall and Jordan desperately wanted to go and talk with the christmas guy. Last week we were also in the mall and he ran up to the ropes of where the christmas guy sits and yelled “hey what’s your name?” The Christmas guy yelled back “my name is Santa what is your name? Then Jordan looked at me as if to ask can I tell this stranger in the red suit my name. I said he could say it and he yelled “my name is Jordan.” Then Santa said the dreaded words. Do you want to come and sit on my lap and tell me what you want for Christmas? Jordan said “hey mom let’s go home right now.” So obviously he was not ready yet.

So now he actually asked to go and speak with the christmas guy again. So we walked up to the ropes and Santa motioned for him to come up to him. Jordan reluctantly went up but had me by the hand. Poor Asher, we left him at the entrance and he just sat there with his little eyes as big as saucers looking at the tree and all the other decorations. Jordan made it very clear to the Christmas guy he didn’t want to sit on his lap but would stand beside him and let him know what he wanted. He said all I want is a big green dinosaur that has a remote control. Santa told Jordan he’d talk with his elves and see what he could do to bring him that on Christmas. As we were walking away Jordan said very loudly “hey what? Santa was supposed to give me my dinosaur where is it mom where is it? I told him he better be thankful for the coloring book Santa gave him and be happy. He just walked away and looked confused like he has wasted all of his time by talking to the christmas guy.
