T-ball Champion

So Jordan is 4 now and old enough to play on the tball team that’s in our area. He has been so excited about playing and we finally got the name of his team other other day. He’s the Orioles. The first time he heard it he said wow mom we’re the oreos. That’s just like the cookie. That’s so cool. So anyway we went to his first practice today and it was a family event. Since daddy couldn’t come because he had to stay with the girls Aunt Buppy and Uncle Caleb came and cheered him on. If we were to judge it on his first day I wouldn’t say that Jordan will be the MVP but he will at least learn that you have to touch the bases as you go around, digging in the sand is really not acceptable and when you’re hot walking off the field is probably not a good idea. This will be a fun year. Go ORIOLES!!!!!!!

This is the last time I’ll ask you…

The other day Jordan and Asher really got into it. I walked into their playroom and Asher was screaming and Jordan obviously had done something to hurt him. Since Asher can’t talk super well he just points to Jordan and says hit me, hit me. Jordan just lies and says Asher did it. So James put Asher down to sleep and kept talking to Jordan about the fight and let him know that he cannot treat his little brother like that. James gave Jordan several chances to tell the truth then got right in Jordan’s face and said Jordan Daddy will give you 1 more chance to tell the truth about hitting Asher before you get a spanking. Jordan finally caved and told the truth. The next morning Jordan got right in Asher’s face and said Asher this is your last chance. This is the last time I will ask you. Did you hit me? Asher shook his head no and Jordan said ok I guess you’ll have to get a spanking. I just laughed and thought wow kids really do listen to everything you say even if it doesn’t seem like it all the time.
Trouble Makers caught in the act

in bringing up boys, Trouble Makers
Ok so I know all of you have missed the many stories of the boys making trouble. So here is the time we can catch you up on all the trouble the boys have made since we have arrived. The very first day as James and I were unpacking the boxes in the living room and bedrooms Jordan and Asher decided to help unload the bathroom boxes and dumped all of the Q-tips we owned in the toilet and starting trying to flush it down AHHHHHHHHHH let’s just say we’ve had toilet problems since then.
Then a couple of days after that we were having our first consultation with our boss and Asher was down for a nap so I thought Jordan could watch doodlebops and everything would run smoothly. Well that definitly wasn’t the case. I walked back to check on Jordan and he had found some elmer’s glue one of the girls was doing a project with the night before and squeezed it all over our couch, ottoman and carpet. That was a mess to clean up.
Then a couple of days ago I was watching scrubs in our down time in the apartment and glanced to the left and Jordan and Asher were standing on their train table grabbing one of James’s electric guitars that was hanging on the wall. Jordan had the left side and Asher had the right and they had lifted out of the holder. They were just holding in mid air. I jumped so fast up off of that couch and yelled for James haha. I saved the guitar and James just laughed. Anyway the boys are adjusting well and are still their old, trouble making selves.

Too many groceries

Ok so yesterday was grocery shopping day. Let’s just say someone was very generous at our church and gave us a $200 dollar giftcard to winn-dixie. Wow we were so surprised and grateful. So we all went to winn-dixie lastnight and began our little grocery shopping spree. I guess the kids noticed that we were sticking stuff in the buggy here and there. We have been letting Jordan walk now while shopping because he has been such a good boy and he stays right near the cart. Well at checkout the bill came up to a little more than I expected. I did notice a few items during checkout that I did not get but I just figured James wanted them. So after we got to the car James had me pass him the receipt so he could make sure all the prices were right. Well James said hmmm… did you get ice cream? He said “we just bought some last week.” Jordan popped up and said “no daddy I wanted ice cream so I put it in there.” (also the funny thing was that he got the kind James can have, sugar free so I thought James had put it in the cart.) Well come to find out there were several items Jordan wanted that he put in the cart. We got home and we were unloading the bags with the boys help and Jordan said “look mom I also picked these out.” He added to our grocery cart… chips, more fruit snacks, 3 extra boxes of mac and cheese, and some other random canned items. When I asked him why he did that he just said “mom i was getting it for me AND Asher.” I guess he had his own grocery list! Next time I guess I need to pay closer attention to my kids and what they’re adding to the grocery cart.
Mommy’s little helper

Ok I must blog and brag about my little Asher because he has been such a good little helper today. First of all Jordan is almost always gone on Fridays because that’s Jordan’s day to go to work with Daddy. Jordan is always up and getting ready and he knows what day it is. Asher always stands at the door and waves and cries because he knows he’s missing out on something. Well today I had housework to do and was cleaning the kitchen and he noticed that I was starting to put the dishes in the dishwasher away. He started handing me the dishes one by one and then the silverware one by one. (that took 10 minutes by itself) then he wanted to help load it back up. (haha that also took like 20 more minutes.) Then he noticed I was transferring the laundry from the washer to the dryer. He also wanted to help with that and push the button like Jordan does to turn the dryer on. After that he wanted to help pick up toys. Wow what a helper. After that he was ready for his payment. He wanted to by paid in little white powder doughnuts. I bought these because Jordan has been asking for them again and again because Uncle Jeremiah gave him some when they were over at their house. Well anyway I finally got talked into buying some and now Asher wanted the WHOLE bag. Well since he did work hard he got 2. He was so proud of all the work he did and he deserved it. I know this is probably a boring blog but this is the kid that usually wreaks havoc but today he has stepped up to the plate and is becoming a big boy. How cute!
Asher got stuck in a sports bra

I know this is kinda hard to believe but my child did get stuck. It all began when my friend Christina brought over her little boy Jordan to play with my kids. He fell asleep in the car on the way over so she put him in Asher’s bed since it wasn’t Asher’s bedtime yet. I set up Asher’s play yard in my bed room right in front of my dresser. I layed him down and he was fine for about 15 minutes. All of a sudden he started screaming a I’m hurt kind of scream. I ran in there and he had gotten into my top drawer and had somehow gotten his arms stuck behind his back using my sports bra. He was very constricted. If you don’t believe you can ask Teresa or Christina they can attest to the fact that he was stuck.
Movie night!

Wow tonight we watched a movie tonight that so parallels my life…Alvin and the chipmunks. I know that sounds strange and all but all I deal with all day is little boys eating and tearing up my house. I know I know they’re not chipmunks but now Jordan says “my name isn’t Jordan isn’t Alvin and Asher can be the fat one” so now Jordan is Alvin and Asher is the the chunky chipmunk Theodore. Anyway it was a super cute movie that we will have to add to our collection of family movies. Here are some pictures from the movie that look like my kids. I know Mommy Jinky is going to get mad that I compared my kids to little rodents.

So a couple of days ago Seth said he noticed that Jordan had a tooth that looked like it was turning a little black. After checking it out I got really concerned because I am very maticulous about brushing the kids teeth and geez a black tooth? I also remembered that Jordan had fallen outside and hit his mouth too. Anyway I made an appointment for him and off we went to the dentist this morning to have it checked. He once again was in a great mood and was excited to go.
We got there and the only reason I could get him in on 1 day notice was because I told them he was in pain. (which was true) Well as soon as the dentist sat down he was asking Jordan about his teeth and did it hurt? Jordan said “nope he doesn’t hurt and he feels fine” and tried to jump out of the dentist seat. The dentist wanted Jordan to tell him what happened. Jordan said “I fell on the “crete” and hurt my teefe but it doesen’t hurt anymore but I’m a good drummer.” Haha he had to throw that in there somewhere.
Anyway he does not have a rotting tooth in the front. When he fell the impact caused some nerve damage and will stay that color until he looses his tooth. That’s better than it rotting out haha. Anyway he said we should leave it in there unless it gets infected. I’m just happy my child’s tooth is rotting out of his head.

Let’s just say in all of my parenting days I have never cleaned up more poop from one child. First of all Jordan ran into my room yelling ewwwwwwwwwwwwww Mommy there’s dog poop all over the pwace. I ran into the living room and it was everywhere. I really did think the dog gotten out of his crate and pooped in the house. But then I remembered the dog was outside getting some fresh air ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It was Asher and it was on his ride-on toy, the floor and ALL over him. I really don’t know what I fed him lastnight but whatever it was didn’t agree with him. Anyway that’s my parenting story for today. Hope you enjoy it because I did not!
