False Alarm

Well today had it’s share of excitement as I thought that Gracie might make her grand entrance. I had pretty bad pain since Sunday morning around 5 am. We went to church and I had pain all during the service then walked the whole day. At around 10 pm and pain subsided and I felt ok. Then around 5 am Monday morning it all began again. I tried to ignore it but called my doctor around 10 am and he said go ahead and go to the hospital up to labor and delivery and have the put you on a monitor. So we finally made it up there around 1 pm after having to pack everyone and send the kids off with Joyce to have fun with Enzo, Ethan and Lizzie. After we got there they got me all hooked up just to send me on my way 2 hours later saying that the contractions were 10 minutes apart and not close enough for anything to really happen yet. Altbough I begged for pitocin, they said no and I was on my way home around 4:00 pm and heading to go pick up the kids. I guess Gracie will come when she wants. If she doesn’t come soon then they’ll induce on the 18th. Why does that seem so far away?

Very profound

Alrighty as everyone knows Asher is finally starting to talk and have much more of a personality now. Yesterday we were in the bathroom and I was getting ready for bed and helping him put his jammies on etc. All of a sudden he looks up at me and says ” You know what mommy? I responded by saying “What baby”?  He just blurted out “Mommy your tummy is really BIG.” It’s was a little bit in baby talk so I thought maybe I misunderstood him. I said “what baby”? He said “Mommy you just BIG” haha I was thinking wow did he just notice this? It was so cute and funny at the same time. I just had to share Asher’s very profound statement.

Also for those of you who don’t know, baby Grace will have a scheduled induction on June 18th @ 6 am. I am very excited and anxious. I was trying to convince the doctor to induce earlier than that since my sonogram on Friday said that I was a week furthur along then I was measuring but the doc said that the sonograms are not always accurate. Well I tried anyway.

Registering for baby Gracie

Bob the Builder3

Right before we left our job in Oviedo many of our friends put together a going away/surprise baby shower for us. We got so much cute, pink stuff and it was cool being able to tell all the people that we had formed such awesome relationships goodbye. It was such a fun time. Thanks to all of you that made the shower happen and thank you to all of you that came and brought stuff for baby Gracie. Everything was very appreciated and we will be bringing her when she’s born to visit the office. We love you!
