Yes my little man Asher always keeps me on my toes. He is always into something but he is my cuddly bunny and always has something to say. Today I really hurt his feelings and it was so sad. Here’s how the scenario went down. Asher: Mommy you really hurt my feelings Me: Really? How? Asher: You said a very bad word at me Me: What did I say baby? Asher: You told me to get into your bed and take a nap and that’s a very, very bad word. Me: Go to bed!!! hahhaha Asher: waaaaaaaaa This boy is my challenge but he is so cute and so lovey sometimes. They other day he picked me some weeds/flowers check out this pic and the dimples, soooo cute!
Next is such a funny picture. I told Jordan and Asher to get PJ’s on and go to bed. When I went to check on them this is the position he was in lol…yes Jordan is in tights because he thinks he’s Peter Pan at times.
Next Asher thinks it would be so fun to pull out a cassette tape. I have no clue what tape it is or where he got it but he, as usual made a huge mess.
Then yesterday he decided to make the bathroom a re enactment of Noah’s Ark and dumped a few gallons of water on the floor so he could swim around. It was so gross to clean up because he ripped toilet paper up into the nasty floor. He is big enough now that he gets to clean it up as well. Maybe he’ll think twice about doing that again.

Ok so today I was returning some emails for my business and Asher came up from behind me and shot me with his mini water gun from behind in my hair. I was suprised so I turned around and grabbed it and said HAHHAHAHA got ya back. (Yes I know I’m super mature) Anyway I let him grab the gun from me again and shoot me AGAIN with it except this time it was right in the face. When he was shooting it the second time he said hehehehhe I got the wador out of the toilet. OH MY GOSH that is sooooooooooooooo nasty. Not only was it from the toilet but it was from the boy’s toilet. GROSS!!!!!
I think we’ve got some training to do

So last Sunday we were all headed out to the car to go to church. Asher runs over to me and says “Mommy oh no, I still have my pennies in my hand that I found on the floor of my room.” I told him “It’s ok Asher, you can give your pennies to Jesus.” Asher says “No Mommy I can’t do that. This is my money. I’m buying gum with it.” HAHA I guess James and I have some little talks to do and teach the kids about tithing. I guess it’s never to early to start. I just thought it was kinda funny that Asher was very certain that he was buying gum with HIS money.
Happy Birthday Asher Boy

Asher had such a fun birthday party. Probably part of it was because his birthday was on the 9th of this month and we celebrated it late so both sides of our family could come. Asher enjoyed dragging his birthday out and getting gifts along the way. Thank you everyone that made Asher’s party special. He had such a good 3 year old party and is still enjoying his new toys.

Asher loves all of his cousins and aunts and uncles so much. When they leave he has a major melt down. I guess since there are so many of them and he is so little he gets so much attention and soaks it all up when everyone is around.

The present time was definitely Asher’s favorite part of the day. He had to much fun opening all of his gifts. It was kinda sad because Uncle Miah came into the house and was so proud of the gift he and Katie had brought Asher and thought it was going to be the biggest then the Oberes family had to walk in with their huge one and ruin it. Geez…anyway he loved all of his gifts and loves playing with all of them.

This was from Uncle Caleb and (future) Auntie Laurel. I LOVE the bag. I’m keeping it forever

Then after the party it was time to put together the big race track. We won’t say how long it took Uncle Miah and Uncle Caleb to put it together. Then after they got it together we didn’t have batteries. How sad

Happy Birthday Asher we love you!!!!

So Asher has been at his mischief again. The other day we went grocery shopping and I apparently did not cut the watermelon in a timely enough fashion for Asher. He decided that he was going to pick the watermelon up and see what would happen if he dropped in on the floor. What happened was that it cracked and it took me about 2 days of mopping up watermelon juice up off the floor to really get the stickiness to come off. It was pretty nasty that every time I would walk across the kitchen floor my feet would stick to it. Then on to Asher’s 2nd line of business… a gatorade and oreo cookie experiment. He crushed oreo cookies all over his little table then poured gatorade on top of the cookies and made mud pie all over the table. Hey sounds fun to me right? That was the same day as the watermelon so it just added to my stickiness. What fun!

Asher actually ate chunks of the watermelon before I could get to him. I knew something was wrong when Asher came to me and said “yummy mom this watermelon tastes so good.”

Thank You Aunt Buppy

If you have read the earlier posts, Asher had quite a tough day with shots, falling, and bumping his head. After coming in from McDonalds after his ice cream Asher fell asleep on my bed and slept a good 3 hours. When he was asleep I checked the mail and there was a birthday card from Aunt Buppy. Asher was so excited when he woke up that he wasn’t in that horrible mood that he usually is when he awakens from his nap. He had his own mail and it had “dodders” in it. He got to spend those “dodders” on bubbles and he was a happy little man. He loved picking out his present and paying for it. He still has a couple “dodders” left and they stay in his pocket. So thank you Aunt Buppy for sending Asher a birthday card. What a sweet Aunt

A series of unfortunate events…for Asher

So just a day after Asher’s 3rd birthday we were scheduled to go to his 3 year old well visit. He was fine with going and willingly went got weighed, measured, answered questions such as do you wear a helment when you ride your bike Asher? Asher responded by saying ‘no’. Then the doc shot me a look like geez you’re a great mom. Then he asked do you ride in a car seat? Asher responded by saying “I no wear my buckles” (oh what a cutie, NOT) When the doc looked at me this time I was like “yes he absolutely does wear his buckles.”
Then the doc had him draw a straight line and said he was so smart because he was able to do this. I was thinking wow, so because my 3 year old can draw a straight line he’s smarter than another 3 year old that can’t. Hmmmm…. that’s seriously debatable. Anyway then he proceded to tell me that Asher was growing well but probably needed to lay off some of those chicken nuggets and happy meals or he is at risk for being obese. Once again because he is in the 50% for weight he is on the path to obesity…. also debatable. Then he went on to say that he has great height and asked if his dad was tall… I laughed said no, then the doc said that Asher will be 6 feet tall or taller when he grows up…once again can they really tell that…because if so Jordan is in some serious trouble lol.
Anyway on to the unfortunate events….Asher asked point blank when the doc came in. “I not getting shot right?” The doc said oh only a little one…but he also got a hemoglobin shot which to him was very traumatic. But not nearly as traumatic as the leg. He cried and cried and cried some more. Then after he stopped, he remembered the experience and started up again. I got it all on tape but Jordan erased it on accident. Anyway on to the more unfortunate events. As we were walking out of the office he fell down all the stairs then bumped his head on the way into the car. I asked him Asher baby what do you want right now? I was thinking he would say “mommy I want you to hold me but no…he said “I want some O Donald’s ice cream.” So off to O Donalds we went to play in the playground and eat ice cream. What a fun end of the day to a very tramatic beginning. I, of course, am my obnoxious self and took pictures when the poor child was in pain so enjoy!

Bedhead before the appointment

Asher getting weighed and measured

Happy right before the horrid shots

The not so happy post shot picture

He was happy he got his ice cream….yummy!

Before I begin this blog. I would like everyone that is reading this blog to know that I actually began writing this blog on his birthday but my router has been such a pain the the patootie lately. Everytime I would try to blog this, the router would kick me off. It has been soooooooo frustrating. My mom is awesome and just donated some mooolah to buy a new router for the Desuyo home. WOOHOO! Her reward will be the “happy peet” dance on video tomorrow! James actually just went to wal-mart to get it. Thank you Lola, we love you.
So Sunday was Asher’s big day. He turned 3 years old. Isn’t it amazing how quickly our babies grow up. It seems like yesterday that Asher was born and made our lives so much more exciting. I remember bringing Asher home and thinking wow I have 2 precious kids. What do I do next? haha Asher has brought so much joy to our lives and I am so glad God has blessed us with such an adorable little man.
Since we are celebrating Asher’s birthday at the end of the month when all my my family will be in town, we all went to target and let Asher pick out some gifts from mommy and daddy on his actual birthday. He picked out this chalk gun thing that obvioiusly people that do not have kids invented and had such a good time shooting all over the place. I mean seriously this liquid chalk stuff was so gross and so complicated trying to get it in the little bottle they shoot it out of. ew ew ew. We also let Jordan get a chalk gun since he was being so good watching Asher pick out his gifts.
I remember being a kid and it was tradition that our dad would take us on a date out to breakfast then to pick out a birthday gift. Since we had so many siblings Dad would let us pick 1 sibling to share our birthday outing with if we wanted. Also that sibling got to pick out a gift for themselves too. It’s always more fun being able to play with a new toy when you have someone to play it with. So that’s why Jordan got a new toy too. It would have been so boring if Asher was not able to shoot Jordan with the chalk gun and Jordan shoot back at him. Also our friend Lindsay got Asher this bubble rocket and the boys spent an hour out playing with it. You know I love toys that keep my kids occupied, especially for an hour. Anyway we love you Asher Caleb and are so happy you are in our lives.
Here’s a few pictures of when he was a little booger till now. How he has grown!!!

4 weeks old ( this was the age where Ate’ Joyce was drilling in Asher’s head that she was his real mom and I was the fake mom) He points to me when we are together and says Joyce is the real mommy and I am the “bake” mommy. What’s up with my sister-in-law brain washing my child at such a young, innocent age?
